Current work in Rainbow-OS:
Rainbow-OS is in continuous progress by our staff and additional student work. Among many different kinds of work like
performance improvements or development of new device drivers to support more and actual hardware, new features are always added.
Here are some examples:
- Shader support for mordern graphic cards (current diploma thesis).
- Support for onboard graphic adapters (e.g. onboard Intel graphic adapters).
- Integration of several different coexisting consistency models (current diploma thesis).
- Integration of a new sound driver, allowing for instance the use of sound chat in Wissenheim.
